Lucian Qiu
I’m a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. For a BYU student project, I’m building a small-business valuation model. It estimates what a small business is worth and how much of the price an SBA 7(a) loan could cover.
To test it on real deals, I write to people who work on small-business sales: buyers searching for a business to own, business brokers, SBA lenders and business appraisers. When someone sends me a listing, I send back one page: what an SBA loan would cover, how the price compares with similar sales, and which lenders make the most of these loans in that state.
